My own personal beginner's method for solving a Rubik's Cube

Notation

Right:
R
Left:
L
Up:
U
Down:
D
Front:
F
Back:
B

Normal direction is clockwise looking at the face.
Counter-clockwise is donated with an apostrophe like so: R'
R2 would mean doing R' twice

Steps

  1. Cross
  2. Bottom Corners
  3. Middle Edges
  4. Last Layer
    1. Orient Edges
    2. Orient Corners
    3. Solve Corners
    4. Solve Edges

Cross

Solve the 4 edges around the white center. Split up this step by first putting the 4 white edges around the yellow center making a "daisy", then solving them into their appropriate spot.

Bottom Corners

Hence forth, white should remain on the bottom.

R U R'
F' U' F
R U2 R'

Middle Edges

(U R U' R')
spin right
(U' L' U L)
(U' L' U L)
spin left
(U R U' R')

Last Layer

Orient Edges

Sexy move: R U R' U'
Edge flip alg: F (sexy) F'

F (sexy) F'
F (sexy) F'
F (sexy) F'
Orient Corners

Sune: (R U R') U (R U2 R')

Apply Sune

Apply Sune

Apply Sune

Solve Corners

A perm: R' F R' B2 R F' R' B2 R2

With headlights in front, apply alg

Solve Edges

U perm: R2 U' (F B') R2 (B F') U R2
If no edges are solved, apply the algorithm from any angle. If 1 edge is solved, put it on the left

Apply the alg
